Local engineer has watched digital technology grow and prosper

WALDPORT — Digital technology is much different today than it was when William “Bill” Turner started his career as an electrical engineer in the 1960s.

The Lincoln County native received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University in 1963.

Turner’s interest in electrical engineering, particularly the digital world, was cultivated while he was working toward his degree at OSU.

Turner recently took some time to reflect back on his career in digital technology and just how much things have changed.
