Johnson ices career with strong state showing

Tyler Johnson’s cross-country career came full circle at the 3A/2A/1A State Championships at Lane Community College on Saturday.

The Waldport senior went to state as a freshman, where he took 40th overall. He barely missed going his sophomore and junior years although he ran blistering times. And he completed his Irish tenancy by running a 18:23, sufficient enough for 43rd overall.
