Clinton Grove Buffington

Clinton Grove Buffington “Clint” of Waldport, Oregon died July 16th at his home.
Clint was born Dec.29, 1930 to Leslie and Gertrude Buffington in Britton, South Dakota.
He graduated from Claremont High School, South Dakota in 1948 from a class of six people and joined the United States Army in 1948 and served in Alaska during the Korean War. He then went to work for Southern Pacific Railroad in Sparks, Nev. where he worked for 41 years.
He was a member of the Pyramid Lodge Masons and the Kerak Shriners in Nevada. Clint enjoyed fishing, traveling and gardening as well as playing cards and socializing with his friends.
He is survived by his brother John Buffington of Waldport Oregon, his son, Bruce Buffington, daughters, Cindy Fitzgerald and Mary Croft, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday July 23 at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregon, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd. at 2 p.m.
