Dorothy C. Rockwell

Dorothy C. Rockwell, 86, of Seal Rock, Ore., died at May 30, 2012 at her son’s home in Seal Rock.

She was born Sept. 1, 1925 to James and Verla Howell in Brookings, Ore. She married Gayle Edward Lent and had a son. She later married Howard Poltera, and they had four children. Her final marriage was to Rocky Rockwell.

Dorothy loved nature and animals. She crafted gifts for her family and friends using items she found on the beach or while walking in the woods. She made quilts and doll clothes.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Lee Murphy, Gerry Roger Poltera, Bill Dean Poltera and Jody Jan Poltera; daughter, Laura Ann Poltera Fift; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
