For an “insider’s view” of sharks, stop in at the Visitor Center at Hatfield Marine Science Center on Saturday, Jan. 12 as Dr. Bill Hanshumaker conducts side-by-side dissections of two large sharks found in the NE Pacific Ocean. The salmon shark specimen (Lamna ditropis) is over six feet long and often is mistaken for a great white shark.
