Youth finds common ground with Yachats’ creative minds



Filmmaker, musician, and community activist Milo Graamans is postponing college for a year to continue his endeavors in the Yachats area. The 18-year-old is well known for his films, as well as his talents on the piano.

Growing up, he thrived on the creativity of Yachats and its inhabitants. Graamans’ filmmaking aspirations start to develop at a young age through his step-grandfather, Peter Vince. Vince is the video teacher at Toledo High School, and led a summer film class in 2003 that Graamans took part in. The film class created a short video exposing the beauty of Yachats and taught the students the process of making a movie.
