Aquarium staff rehabilitating stranded sea turtle

SOUTH BEACH - The Oregon Coast Aquarium husbandry staff is rehabilitating a stranded sea turtle found Monday night on Moolack Beach in Newport.

The male Green sea turtle was transported to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, in cooperation with the U.S. Marine Fisheries Service (USMFS) and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS). The Aquarium is authorized to possess, rehabilitate and transport sea turtles, with the goal of releasing them back into their natural habitat.
