Citizens vote down Yachats charter change

Four votes doomed second attempt

YACHATS - The Yachats City Council’s second attempt this year to convince voters to amend the city charter failed last week, but by an even closer margin - 236 votes in favor and 240 against. Measure 21-145 would have allowed the city to discuss property purchases with interested parties without prior approval of the voters.
