Man arrested for drugs, child neglect
A welfare check conducted by Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy David Hawley at around 10 p.m. on Nov. 21 resulted in a man being arrested.
The deputy responded to a residence on Highway 34 east of Waldport, near milepost 3. According to a press release issued by the sheriff's office, Hawley found Addam D. Martin, 46, of Waldport, under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana. It was also reported that Martin was not adequately supervising a 5-year-old child in his home.
The subsequent investigation revealed that Martin was in possession of meth and various drug paraphernalia, which were easily accessible to the child, according to the sheriff's office.
