HMSC features winter whale watch week activities

Celebrate local marine mammals with special emphasis on California gray whale migration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 26 through Dec. 30 at the Hatfield Marine Science Center.

Winter Whale Watch Week at HMSC will feature family-friendly events with marine mammal themed children’s activities, films, and research exhibits.

Daily at 11 a.m. will be a marine mammal skeleton tour, with a limit of 15 people per tour. Also, daily at 1:30 p.m. is a marine mammal presentation.

Admission is by donation. The center is located at 2030 SE Marine Science Dr. in South Beach. For more information visit http://hmsc.oregonstate.edu/visitor/
