On the front page of the Dec. 26 edition, the caption under “Celebrating the Solstice” incorrectly stated that Dec. 21, the winter solstice, was the longest day of the year. It should have said that Dec. 21 is the shortest day of the year. The longest day comes in June, with the summer solstice.
