Sherry Marshall-Ragsdale
Sherry Lee Marshall-Ragsdale, 57, died Jan. 22, 2013 at her home.

Affectionately known as “Sha Sha,” she was beautiful, compassionate, loving and adored her animals, large and small. Horses, dogs, cats, kittens were all within her scope of kindness and gentleness. Sherry had an amazing equine ability including showing, raising, training, and riding throughout her life, which was passed on to her daughters.

Her talents were unlimited; she owned “Puppywaves Grooming” for the past 15 years and treated each and every dog as her own. Every canine client will sorely miss her tender love and patient care. Gourmet cooking was one of her favorite things and she did it well. Some of her creations were noteworthy and it was her wish to someday own a restaurant. Her baking abilities were legendary as well.

She was a true friend. She was thoughtful, giving, and generous of heart and would do anything in the world for people. She also was stubborn and strong and did not have a problem speaking her mind.

While she didn’t take life too seriously, her incredible life could fill a book. She will forever live in her family and friends’ hearts for the wonderful person that she was. Without a doubt, when Sherry gets to the Rainbow Bridge, there will be many animals waiting to welcome her with boundless love.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Ragsdale; three daughters; one brother; and three grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be in the spring, which was her favorite time of year.

Affordable Burial and Cremation is handling arrangements.
