Lincoln County Commissioners last week agreed to put a measure on the May 21 ballot to fund children’s programs – similar to the ballot measure overwhelmingly rejected by voters last November.
Money from the levy would fund programs in three categories: child abuse prevention and intervention, early childhood development and care and after school enrichment programs.
Children’s Trust of Lincoln County representatives Patti Littlehales, Billie Jo Smith and Joanne Kittel asked the commissioners to put the Children’s Trust measure in front of voters with a reduced rate.
