YACHATS — This Saturday, June 7, marks the start of a special celebration. The city of Yachats has partnered with the U.S. Forest Service and the Siuslaw National Forest as they celebrate the 50th anniversaries of the Wilderness Act and Angell Job Corps along with National Trails Day.

Saturday’s happenings mark the launch of a summer-long series of events to celebrate local hiking and wilderness areas.
